Choosing A Multivitamin That Really Works
Choosing a multivitamin is a challenge for everyone. I used to think that because I wasn't a nutritionist, I couldn't buy good vitamins on my own. So I didn't! If I did buy them, I bought because the guy at GNC said they were good, and hey, "He looks in OK shape, so I guess I'll go with that." But I never seemed to get any real results.
Recently a friend of mine who is a retired NFL Hall-of-Famer, told me about vitamins he takes. He said that he has a scanner that will verify whether the vitamins you're taking actually work.
The scanner non-invasively measures the amount of "carotenoid antioxidants" in your body. The higher the count, the more healthy your cells are that prevent all metabolic diseases.
Here's a picture:

So I let him scan me, and I thought that I would have a pretty good score because I work out, I don't eat red meat or take in a lot of sugar. But to my surprise I scored a very poor 19,000. I felt bad and he told me he scored the same thing while he still played for the Jets! He was taking all types of supplements and nothing worked. That was a big shock because they get their supplements from the NFL so you'd think they were the best.
As I learned that day, there's a big difference in being fit and being healthy.
So when choosing a multivitamin follow these steps:
- Get scanned to find out your score. It costs $20 to have unlimited scans. If you don't know of any place who has the scanner
Locate one here
and it will find the one closest to you.
- Find vitamins with a money back guarantee. Any good product should have one.
- Take vitamins for 30 days and get scanned.
- Take vitamins another 15 days and get scanned.
If by the 45th day there is not a great increase in your score, dump the vitamins. That's the best way to test, in the beginning there will be a detox period so your score may even drop, by the 45th day you will be long out of detox and should see improvement.
