Clear isn't like normal air cards, it downloads at speeds of 4-6Mbps with peaks of 10Mbps. They're also working on increasing these speeds to 20Mbps! 4-6Mbps is already fast! It has upload speeds of around 1Mbps which is also really fast. There are no bandwidth caps so you can download as much as you want. I favor Clearwire over all others just for it's mobility and also low cost. It's cheaper than most other provider's promotional prices! Clear's prices never change. You can get all three services for $75 and yes, that's unlimited local and long distance phone. Satellite Internet Satellite internet is also becoming a pretty big thing. However not too many people at all use it here in Georgia or in the DC areas that I know of. Satellite internet providers send their signals via satellite, (duh). They mount a satellite on your home, and then run that to the modem and to your PC or wireless router. I personally couldn't understand why anyone would get this unless they lived in an area where Clear, AT&T, Verizon, or Qwest didn't exist. It's utterly expensive, not to mention the satellite dish that comes along with it. I'm not against dishes for TV, but for internet there are a lot of alternatives.
