Speed

Comcast DSL is available from speeds of 1.5 Mbps up to 50Mbps in some areas. In areas where 50Mbps isn't available, 22Mbps is the top speed tier. Their flagship speed is 6Mbps; 12Mbps in some areas.

Price

Comcast internet service has a good price on internet. Even though prices differ dramatically from state to state, in the South, you can get a pretty outstanding deal on Comcast. $29.99 per month for 12 months at 22Mbps. In many other states the flagship product is $29.99 per month for 6-12Mbps.

Reliability

Comcast internet service is run off of cable, that generally calls for a secure signal with very few interruptions. However, Comcast, perhaps due to its size? Has some major reliability issues. During my time as a Comcast customer, my 22Mbps service faithfully booted me every 20 minutes, causing me to restart every time. Many of my neighbors shared the same issue.

These reliability issues continued in the state of Maryland, Georgia, and in 2 different cities in Georgia. So if it's Comcast you're considering, be mindful of that.

Their customer service is also the worst of all the companies. They are aware of this and have decided to change their name to Xfinity to give them a new brand... don't believe the hype. It's the same old song and dance.
