Lifeshield Wireless Home Alarm Systems

Lifeshield wireless home alarm systems have been around since 2002. At one point they offered a no contract wireless alarm system. Even though the upfront cost was high, I put this on the site just because of the no contract. Well that has all changed and well, I really can't justify anything about the company as being worth buying.

Reliability

Because Lifeshield home burglar alarms are wireless, they lose the reliability of a wired system. Like other wireless systems it's run off a battery and it will die at some point.

Range of Protection

Lifeshield home burglar alarms protect against burglary, water, temperature, fire, and smoke. You can also add-on a camera for extra protection. Not nearly as much as ADT.

Expansion Capabilities

Lifeshield wireless home alarm systems offer great expansion capabilities as all wireless systems do. There is no limit to what you can add on to their systems. You can add on items such as cameras, water/temperature sensors, glass break sensors, and the ability to receive text messages whenever the alarm or one of the sensors is set off.

You can also monitor and make changes to your system at anytime via web with Lifeshield home alarm monitoring systems which is pretty cool.

Monitoring

As mentioned before, you can monitor your own home through the web. But they also have a monitoring center that will monitor your home 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This I would steer clear of for the fact the company doesn't specialize in monitoring but in a homemade, Do-it-yourself type of system. It is likely that in case of emergency, your call may not get answered.

Price

Lifeshield prices start at $29.99 plus the cost of equipment (about $199). Actually more than other companies I've reviewed on this site. Not much else to say there.

Lifeshield has the industry standard 36 month contract.

Lifeshield offers a 30 day warranty, along with a 30 day money back guarantee. If you aren't satisfied with your service or product; return it for a full refund within 30 days of initial purchase. Again, no one else is touching ADT's 6 month money back guarantee by a long-shot.


Overall Lifeshield is another alarm system. Not very reliable and no longer super cheap like once before. I would not recommend this system to protect your family. Check out ADT alarm systems for a much superior product at the same cost.
